Okay, so I decided to give this place, Dim Sum Co Westminster, a try the other day. Heard some chatter, figured I’d see for myself what the deal was.

Got myself ready, hopped in the car, and drove over. Wasn’t too sure about parking, but I managed to find a spot not too far off, which was a good start. Walked up to the front. Looked like a pretty straightforward kind of place, no crazy bells and whistles.
Went inside. It was decently busy, folks milling about, some eating, some waiting. Had that typical dim sum place buzz, you know? Found my way to where you order. They had the usual stuff laid out, steamers going, all that.
Looking at the Menu and Ordering
Took a look at what they had. You know how it is with dim sum, sometimes you just point at what looks good. I saw some familiar things I like, so pointed at a few baskets.
Here’s roughly what I grabbed:
- Some Siu Mai (pork dumplings, gotta have ’em)
- Har Gow (shrimp dumplings, another classic)
- Couple of pork buns
- Sticky rice wrapped in leaves
The person helping me got everything boxed up pretty quick. Paid the bill, wasn’t too bad on the wallet, which is always nice. Grabbed my food and headed out.

Eating the Food
Got back home, or sometimes I just find a spot nearby if I’m really hungry. Unpacked everything. Looked decent enough. Dug into the Siu Mai first – pretty standard, tasted fine. Then the Har Gow, shrimp tasted fresh which was good. The pork buns were alright, maybe a bit doughy for my taste, but filled the spot. Sticky rice was tasty, had that savory goodness inside.
Overall, it did the job. Got my dim sum fix without much fuss. It wasn’t like, the most amazing dim sum I’ve ever had in my life, but it was solid. It’s one of those places you go when you just want some decent dim sum quickly without making a big production out of it.
So yeah, that was my little trip over to Dim Sum Co Westminster. Went there, got food, ate food. Pretty simple process. Might go back if I’m in the area and craving some quick dim sum again.
