Alright, let’s talk about what went down in my kitchen earlier. I was starving, you know? Like, stomach-making-weird-noises hungry. Didn’t have much time, didn’t feel like ordering takeout either. Too much hassle.

So, I went for the old reliable. Noodles. The super quick kind.
Here’s how I did it:
First thing, grabbed a pot. Not the big one, just a small saucepan. Filled it up with water from the tap, maybe about halfway? Didn’t really measure, just eyeballed it. Plonked it on the stove, turned the heat up high. Gotta get that water boiling fast.
While the water was heating up, I rummaged through the cupboard. Found a packet of instant noodles – yeah, the cheap kind, nothing fancy. Pulled out the noodles and those little flavor packets. You know the ones. Usually oil and some kind of powder.
Water started bubbling, so I dropped the noodle block in. Poked it a bit with a fork after a minute to help it separate. Let it cook for, I don’t know, maybe 3 minutes? Just until they looked soft enough. I don’t like them mushy.
Okay, here’s a little thing I do sometimes. I drain most of the water out. Just tilt the pot over the sink, hold the noodles back with the fork. Leave just a tiny bit of water in the bottom. Makes the sauce stick better, I think.

Then, dumped in the flavor packets. The oil one and the powder one. Gave it all a good stir with the fork, making sure those noodles got coated nicely. You can see the color change right away.
That’s pretty much it. Scooped it all into a bowl. Didn’t bother with fancy toppings today. Sometimes I might crack an egg in while the noodles cook, or throw in some leftover veggies, but today was about speed.
Sat down and just ate it. Steaming hot. Hit the spot, you know? Filled that empty space in my stomach. Wasn’t a five-star meal, wasn’t supposed to be. Just quick, easy, and got the job done. Sometimes, that’s all you need.
