Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Westport Chinese takeout, ya know? It’s like this, you get hungry, real hungry, and you don’t wanna cook. Happens to the best of us, even me, and I’ve cooked more meals than hairs on a dog’s back. So, this Westport place, they got all sorts of food, like them Asian dishes, Chinese, Japanese, even that sushi stuff. Don’t know much about sushi, looks kinda fishy to me, but folks seem to like it.
Now, I ain’t got all day, so I’ll get to the point. People say Shanghai Gourmet is the best around here. It’s close by and they got a whole mess of food on their menu. Small place, but they pack a punch, flavor-wise. Then there’s this Little Kitchen of Westport, they got that guilty pleasure food, real tasty stuff, you know, the kind you eat and don’t think too much about. Just good eatin’.
And there’s more! Tiger Bowl, that’s another one. Heard it’s small, but I ain’t been there myself. There’s a place called Uncle Seven, and some others too, like New China Wok, Shu Restaurant of Fairfield, and Yuki Kitchen. Too many to remember, if you ask me. But folks keep talkin’ ’bout ’em, so they must be doin’ somethin’ right.
- Shanghai Gourmet: Folks say it’s the best, close by, lots of food.
- Little Kitchen of Westport: Good comfort food, tasty and easy.
- Tiger Bowl: Small place, but people mention it.
- Uncle Seven: Another one they talk about.
- New China Wok: Heard of it, can’t say much more.
- Shu Restaurant of Fairfield: A name I’ve heard.
- Yuki Kitchen: Another one on the list.
Now, about ordering this food. You can go right to the place, Westport Chinese Takeout, on Saugatuck Avenue. Or, if you’re like me and your feet are tired, you can order online. They got this Grubhub thing, you know, like a delivery service. They bring the food right to your door. Handy, I tell ya, especially when it’s rainin’ cats and dogs.
But listen here, some of this food, it ain’t always the healthiest. They put a lot of salt, sugar, oil, all that stuff in it. Specially that American-Chinese food, it can be real heavy. So, you gotta watch yourself, don’t eat it every day. I always say, a little bit of everything is good for ya, but too much of anything ain’t. That’s what my grandma used to say, bless her heart. She lived to be a hundred and two, so she knew a thing or two about eatin’ right, and wrong.
So, there you have it. Westport Chinese Takeout, lots of choices, easy to order. Just remember to eat your vegetables too, and don’t go overboard on that greasy stuff. A little treat now and then is fine, but don’t make it a habit. And if you see me out and about, don’t be shy, say hello. I’m always up for a good chat, and maybe we can even share some of that takeout.
Now, their phone number is (203) 222-7888, if you’re the type who likes to call. They’re at 69 Saugatuck Ave #5709, if you wanna go pick it up yourself. And remember, they’re open late, so you don’t have to worry if you get a hankerin’ for some Chinese food in the middle of the night. Not that I’d be up that late, mind you. But some folks are, and they gotta eat too.
That’s all I got to say about that. Go get yourself some food if you’re hungry, and don’t forget what I told ya about eatin’ healthy. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I got things to do. The garden ain’t gonna weed itself, you know.
