Hey everyone! Christmas is just around the corner, and I’ve been getting crafty. I wanted to share some super easy and quick Christmas craft ideas that I whipped up this weekend. Seriously, even if you’re not a “craft person,” you can totally do these!

Getting Started: The Supply Run
First, I gathered my materials. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, so I hit up my local dollar store and craft store. I also dug through my existing craft supplies (we all have that box, right?).
- Basic supplies I grabbed:
- Construction paper (red, green, white, gold)
- Glue sticks (lots of them!)
- Scissors
- Glitter (because, Christmas!)
- Ribbon and twine
- Some plain Christmas ornaments
- Pinecones (I actually just found these in my backyard!)
Project 1: Paper Snowflakes
Okay, this is a classic, but it’s a classic for a reason! I started by folding some white paper – you know, the way you learned in elementary school. Then, I just started snipping! I made some with pointy edges, some with rounded edges, just to mix it up. The key here is to not overthink it. Just cut and see what happens!
Once I was happy with the shape, I carefully unfolded them. Some I left plain white, others I dusted with a little bit of glitter for extra sparkle. These are great for hanging in windows or on the Christmas tree.
Project 2: Glittery Pinecones
This one is ridiculously easy. I simply took my pinecones and brushed them with a thin layer of glue. Then, I sprinkled them with glitter. I used gold and silver glitter, but you could use any color you like. I let them dry completely, and that’s it! I placed some in a bowl as a centerpiece and tied ribbon around others to hang on the tree.
Project 3: Simple Cardboard Ornaments
I had some leftover cardboard boxes, so I decided to make some ornaments. I cut out simple shapes – stars, circles, Christmas trees. Then, the fun part: decorating! I used construction paper scraps to glue on designs, added glitter, and even drew on some with markers.

Once they were decorated, I poked a small hole at the top of each one and threaded some twine through to make a loop for hanging. Super simple, and they look really cute and rustic on the tree.
Project 4: Easy Paper Chain Garland
Remember making paper chains as a kid? Well I did it again. I cut out some strips of red and green construction paper, and looped and glued. Nothing hard. I hung the finished paper chain on my fireplace.
Wrapping It Up
And that’s it! A few hours of crafting, and I’ve got some handmade Christmas decorations that add a personal touch to my home. Honestly, the best part was just taking some time to be creative and have some fun. Don’t be afraid to get messy and experiment – that’s half the fun of crafting! Happy crafting, everyone!
