Alright guys, so today I’m gonna share some super quick and easy hairstyles I’ve been rocking lately. I’m no professional, just a regular gal trying to look decent without spending hours in front of the mirror. Let’s dive right in!
The Messy Bun (but make it cute)
Okay, so everyone knows the messy bun, right? But sometimes it looks a little too messy, like you just rolled outta bed. Here’s my tweaked version:
- First: I flip my head upside down and gather my hair into a high ponytail. This gives it some volume at the crown.
- Then: I twist the ponytail loosely and wrap it around the base. Don’t make it too tight!
- Next: I secure it with a hair tie. But here’s the trick: I don’t pull the ends all the way through on the last wrap. This creates a little loop.
- Finally: I pull out a few strands around my face to soften the look. Done! Looks way more put-together than the average messy bun, trust me.
The Half-Up Top Knot
This one’s my go-to when I want my hair out of my face but still want to show off the length. Super easy!
- First: I section off the top half of my hair, from temple to temple.
- Then: I gather it into a ponytail and secure it with a hair tie.
- Next: I twist the ponytail into a bun and wrap it around the base.
- Finally: I secure the bun with another hair tie or some bobby pins. Boom! Cute and out of the way.
The Low Ponytail with a Twist (literally)
Wanna elevate your basic ponytail? This is the way to do it. It takes like, two seconds longer than a regular ponytail.
- First: I gather my hair into a low ponytail at the nape of my neck.
- Then: Before securing it, I create a little gap above the hair tie.
- Next: I flip the ponytail up and through the gap. This creates a cute little twist.
- Finally: I tighten the hair tie. That’s it! So simple, but looks so much more stylish.
Braided crown (cheater version)
okay, the real deal is not that simple but here is something close to it.
- First: I make two pigtails with my hair
- Then: I braid those pigtails
- Next: I put those braids on top of my head like a crown and secure with bobby pins.
- Finally: I use hair spray to keep it in place. That’s it! a fake beautiful braided crown!
