Alright, so I’ve been trying to nail down a good, fast breakfast, and I think I’ve finally cracked the code with this omelette thing. I saw a thing online that said it should only take 4 minutes, so I was like, “Yeah, right.” But hey, gotta try, right?
So, this morning, I grabbed a couple of eggs from the fridge – I always have eggs, they’re like a must-have. I also snagged some cheese ’cause who doesn’t love cheese in an omelette? Then I remembered I had some leftover veggies from last night’s dinner, so I chopped those up real quick. I love it when I can use up leftovers.
I whisked the eggs in a bowl with a fork. Nothing fancy, just a regular fork. I tossed in a bit of salt and pepper, ’cause that’s what you do, right? I also added a splash of milk because I saw someone do that on one of those cooking shows once. Makes it fluffier, I guess.
- Grabbed 2 eggs from the fridge
- Snagged some cheese
- Chopped up leftover veggies
- Whisked eggs with a fork
- Added salt, pepper, and a splash of milk
Next, I heated up a non-stick pan on the stove. Medium heat, nothing too crazy. I melted a little bit of butter in there – I like the taste of butter, but you could use oil or whatever. Once the butter was all bubbly, I poured in the egg mixture.
Here’s the trick, I think. I let it cook for a bit, then I started pushing the cooked egg from the edges to the center, letting the runny stuff go underneath. I kept doing that until it was mostly cooked but still a little wet on top.
Then, I sprinkled the cheese and veggies on one half of the omelette. I waited for, like, 30 seconds for the cheese to melt a little. Then, using a spatula, I folded the other half of the omelette over the cheesy, veggie goodness.
Cooking Process
- Heated a non-stick pan on medium heat
- Melted butter in the pan
- Poured in the egg mixture
- Pushed cooked egg to the center, letting runny egg go underneath
- Sprinkled cheese and veggies on one half
- Folded the other half over
I let it cook for another minute or so, just to make sure everything was heated through and the cheese was all melty and gooey. And that’s it! I slid the whole thing onto a plate. It actually looked pretty good, if I do say so myself.
I gobbled it down, and man, it was tasty! And the best part? It really did only take like, 5 minutes to make. So, yeah, I’m definitely making this again. Easy, fast, and yummy – what more could you ask for in a breakfast, right?
