Okay, so I’ve been seeing these adorable little crochet magazines all over my Pinterest feed, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I mean, how hard could it be, right? Famous last words, maybe, but it turned out pretty well!

Quick and Easy Crochet Magazine: Simple Patterns, Great Results

Getting Started

First, I gathered my supplies. I already had a bunch of yarn scraps from previous projects – perfect for this! I grabbed a hook that seemed like a good size for the yarn, some scissors, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends. I didn’t follow a specific pattern, just kind of winged it based on the pictures I’d seen.

The Process

  • I started by chaining a small rectangle. This was going to be the “cover” of my magazine. I think I chained maybe 15 stitches? I wasn’t really counting, just eyeballing it.
  • Then, I single crocheted back and forth in rows until I had a rectangle that looked about the right size for a mini magazine.
  • For the “pages,” I did the same thing, but with white yarn. I made the page rectangle a tiny bit smaller than the cover.
  • Then used yarns to sew some lines on the “pages”, pretend there are some texts there.
  • To put it all together, I just folded the cover in half, placed the pages inside, and used my yarn needle to sew up the spine. Super simple!

Finishing Touches

I decided to add a little “title” to the front of my magazine. I just used a contrasting color of yarn and surface crocheted some random letters. It doesn’t really spell anything, but it looks cute! Finally, I wove in all the loose ends, and that was it!

Honestly, it was way easier than I expected. It took me maybe 30 minutes total, and it’s so darn cute! I’m already planning to make a whole stack of these little magazines in different colors. They’d be adorable as little doll accessories or just cute decorations. I’m so glad with it!
