Okay, so, I’ve been trying to eat better lately, you know, cut out the bad stuff. And one big thing I’ve been trying to avoid is gluten. It’s not always easy, especially when you’re out and about in a big city like Mumbai. So I thought, why not document my little adventure of finding gluten-free food here? Maybe it’ll help someone else out, too.
First off, I did a bit of digging online. Just typed in “gluten-free restaurants Mumbai” into Google. Lots of stuff popped up, you know, the usual – articles, TripAdvisor reviews, that kind of thing. I saw a few names that kept coming up: Bastian in Bandra, Bombay Salad Co., and Seeds Of Life. These sounded promising, so I decided to check them out.
My first stop was Bastian. I’d heard good things, and let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. They had a pretty decent selection of gluten-free options, clearly marked on the menu. I went for a grilled fish dish, which was super tasty and didn’t make me feel bloated afterward. Thumbs up for Bastian!
Next up, I headed to Bombay Salad Co. This place is a dream if you’re into healthy eating. They’ve got tons of salads, obviously, but also some other dishes that are naturally gluten-free. I built my own salad with a bunch of fresh veggies, some grilled chicken, and a light vinaigrette. It was so refreshing and filling, I didn’t even miss the bread.

Then there was Seeds Of Life. This place is also in Bandra, so it was easy to hop over after Bombay Salad Co. They’re known for their healthy, organic stuff, and they definitely cater to the gluten-free crowd. I had a delicious quinoa bowl with roasted veggies and a yummy tahini dressing. It was the perfect light lunch. This is really good!
Exploring Local Bakeries
Besides the proper restaurants, I also stumbled upon some local bakeries that had gluten-free bread. It’s not always easy to find, but a few places had it, and it was actually pretty good! Not quite the same as regular bread, of course, but a decent substitute if you’re craving a sandwich or something. I tried one near my place, and they were selling gluten-free bread. Not bad at all!
The other day I found some info from a search engine saying “Explore top 20 gluten free restaurants in mumbai such as 212 All Good and more. We provide restaurants that sell gluten free along with information: phone.” This info is also useful, it helped me a lot!
So yeah, that’s been my gluten-free journey in Mumbai so far. It’s definitely doable, you just gotta know where to look. I’m still exploring, so I’ll probably add more to this little log of mine as I go. But hopefully, this gives you a good starting point if you’re trying to eat gluten-free in Mumbai. It’s not as hard as you might think!
