Okay, so I’ve been trying to eat better lately, and that means going gluten-free. It’s not always easy, especially when you’re out and about, but I’ve been determined to make it work. I live in Bangalore, so I started exploring the gluten-free food scene here.
My first move was to hit up the internet. I searched for “gluten-free food in Bangalore,” and let me tell you, there were tons of results! I started browsing through the different options, looking at menus, reviews, and locations.
- Carrots Cloud Kitchen sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered some food for delivery, and it was pretty good.
- Then I went to Go Native on Lavelle Road. It was a nice place, and they had a decent gluten-free selection.
- Sant Spa Cuisine in Indiranagar was another spot I checked out. It’s a bit fancier, but the food was amazing.
I also ventured out to some other places like Foo, Radix Nutritive, and Cafe Graze. They all had some gluten-free options, which was great. I even found some tasty gluten-free dishes at Toscano Wine Connection and Dakshin at ITC Windsor.
My Go-To Street Food
Now, you can’t talk about Bangalore without mentioning the street food. I was craving some local flavors, so I headed to VV Puram Food Street, also known as Thindi Beedi. It’s famous for South Indian snacks. I was able to find some naturally gluten-free options like masala dosa and idli. It was so delicious and satisfying!
Through this whole experience, I learned that eating gluten-free in Bangalore is totally doable. There are lots of restaurants with gluten-free menus or options, and you can even find safe options with some street food. You just gotta know where to look and what to ask for. I’m really glad I embarked on this gluten-free journey. It’s made me feel so much better, and I’ve discovered some amazing food along the way!
From my experience, I think Thai food restaurants often have a lot of gluten-free stuff on the menu. I’m not so sure about Indian or Japanese food though. In my experience, a lot of their sauces can have gluten. You just have to be careful. But at least now I know a few good spots around town to satisfy my gluten-free cravings!
