Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Imperial House Dim Sum place, you know, the one in Venetian. Folks keep talkin’ ’bout it, so I figured, why not give it a whirl, eh?

First off, findin’ the place ain’t too hard, even for an old gal like me. It’s in that big ol’ Venetian building, can’t miss it. Lots of fancy stuff around, but I was there for the food, not the frills.

Now, the food, that’s what really matters, right? I ain’t no fancy food critic or nothin’, but I know what tastes good. And let me tell ya, this place got some tasty grub. They call it “dim sum,” I call it “little bites of heaven.”

What I Ate and What I Thought

  • Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings): These little shrimp thingies, they were somethin’ else. The skin was all see-through and the shrimp inside was plump and juicy. Not too fishy, just right. I coulda ate a whole plate of ’em myself.
  • Siu Mai (Pork Dumplings): Then there was these pork dumplings, Siu Mai they call ’em. A little bit bigger than the shrimp ones, and packed with flavor. The pork was tender and the whole thing just melted in your mouth. Good stuff, real good stuff.
  • Char Siu Bao (BBQ Pork Buns): Oh, and those fluffy buns filled with BBQ pork? Don’t even get me started! Sweet and savory, the perfect combo. The bun was soft and pillowy, and the pork inside was all sticky and sweet. My grandkids woulda loved these.
  • Chicken Feet: Now, I know what you’re thinkin’. Chicken feet? Yep, chicken feet. And they were surprisingly good! All braised and flavorful, kinda like chicken, but with a different texture. Not for everyone, I guess, but I liked ’em.
  • Spring Rolls: These crispy rolls were filled with veggies and some kinda meat, maybe pork, maybe chicken. Hard to say, but they were good. Nice and crunchy on the outside, and the inside was all warm and tasty. Perfect for dippin’ in that little sauce they give ya.

Everything I tried was fresh and hot, like it just came outta the kitchen. And the portions, they were just right. Not too much, not too little. Enough to fill ya up without feelin’ like a stuffed pig.

The place itself, it was clean and tidy. Not too fancy, but not a dump either. Just a nice, comfortable place to sit and eat. The folks workin’ there were friendly enough, always smilin’ and askin’ if I needed anything. They brought the food fast, too, which is always a plus in my book.

Now, I ain’t gonna lie, it ain’t the cheapest place around. You gotta shell out a few extra bucks for this kinda quality. But hey, sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right? And this place, it’s worth the splurge, I reckon.

I saw all sorts of folks eatin’ there. Young folks, old folks, families, couples, even some fancy-lookin’ businessmen. Seems like everyone likes a good dim sum, no matter where you come from or what you do.

Overall, I’d say this Imperial House Dim Sum place is a winner. Good food, nice place, friendly folks. What more could ya ask for? If you’re lookin’ for some tasty Chinese food and don’t mind spendin’ a little extra, then this is the place to go. Just be sure to bring your appetite, ’cause you’re gonna wanna try everything!

I heard some folks sayin’ it’s the “best Chinese food” around. Well, I ain’t eaten at every Chinese restaurant in the world, but I gotta say, it’s pretty darn good. “Great taste” for sure. Goes to show ya, people like takin’ pictures of their food almost as much as they like eatin’ it.
