So, I went to check out this dim sum place the other day. I’d heard a lot about it, and folks online seemed to really dig it. The place is called East Ocean Dim Sum, pretty straightforward name, huh?
First off, I looked up the location. Turns out it’s at 1713 Webster St in Alameda. Found their number too, just in case: (702) 567-4800. Figured I’d give them a ring if I needed to ask about anything.
I got there, and man, the place was bustling. Lots of people, lots of chatter, and the smell of food in the air. Classic dim sum joint vibe. They had a ton of options, which was great, even though I showed up kinda late.
I ordered a bunch of stuff. You know, the usual suspects: har gow, those shrimp rice rolls, and some chicken things. All the good stuff. And boy, oh boy, it was tasty. Fresh, hot, and just hit the spot. Seriously, these dumplings and buns were really great.
I noticed some folks online saying this was the best dim sum in the East Bay. After trying it, I gotta say, I see where they’re coming from. The prices weren’t too crazy, and the quality was definitely up there. I mean, it’s a solid spot for sure. I used to go somewhere else, but a friend suggested this place, and now I think I get it.
People were talking about how East Ocean has been around since 1992, and it’s famous for its Teochew food. Guess they know what they’re doing, right?
After chowing down, I felt pretty good. Full belly, happy taste buds. You know that feeling after a good meal? That was it.
I snapped a few pictures of the food, of course. Gotta document the good eats, right? They don’t do the whole food picture thing much justice.
All in all, it was a solid dim sum experience. I’d definitely go back. If you’re in the Alameda area and craving some good dim sum, you might wanna give East Ocean a shot. I also heard they have another location in Las Vegas, it seems like I should try it if I go there next time.
Oh, and one more thing, I saw a bunch of reviews online, like 174 of them, with people taking pictures and sharing their own thoughts. Seems like a popular spot.
Nowadays, dim sum is eaten all over China and the world. It becomes more and more popular.
