So, I was in London the other day and had a hankering for some dim sum. A buddy of mine told me about this place, Yauatcha, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
Getting There
First off, I had to find the place. It’s in Broadgate Circle, which is pretty easy to get to. I just hopped on the tube and ended up a short walk away. No big deal, really.

Stepping Inside
The place is kind of fancy, I gotta say. It’s got that modern, sleek vibe. Air-conditioned, which was nice since it was a bit warm outside. I didn’t check if it was accessible ’cause I didn’t need to, but I’m sure you could call ahead and ask.
The Menu
They had all sorts of stuff on the menu. I saw steamed, fried, baked dim sum… you name it. They also had these bao things, which are like fluffy little buns. And for the main stuff, they had a bunch of dishes, plus sides. I also noticed they take credit cards, like Mastercard, VISA, and AMEX, which is convenient.
Ordering Up
I decided to go for a variety. Got some steamed dumplings, some fried ones, and a couple of those baked pastries. Oh, and I tried a bao too. Why not, right? I didn’t go for the main course because the dim sum itself was pretty good.
Chowing Down
The food came out pretty quick. Everything was hot and looked really good. I dug in and, man, it was tasty. The dumplings were juicy, the fried stuff was crispy, and the baked pastries were flaky and flavorful. Even the bao was good, although maybe a tad overpriced for what it was.
Dessert Time
I saw they had these souffl pancakes on the menu, and I have a sweet tooth, so I figured I’d give ’em a try. They were fluffy, all right, but honestly, nothing to write home about.
The Verdict
So, would I go back to Yauatcha? Hmm, maybe. The dim sum was definitely good, but it was a little pricey. I mean, there are tons of dim sum places in London, and I bet some of them are just as good and a bit cheaper. But if you’re in the area and you’re feeling a bit fancy, it’s worth checking out. Just don’t expect to be blown away, you know?
Anyway, that’s my little food adventure for you. Hope you found it somewhat interesting. Catch ya later!
