Okay, let’s talk about my adventure to find some good dim sum here in Denver. I’ve been craving those little tasty dumplings and buns, so I figured it was time to check out what the city had to offer. I’m not a food critic or anything, I just like to eat and share my experiences.
First, I did a quick search online to see what places people were recommending. There were a few names that kept popping up: Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings, Star Kitchen, Formosa, Băo Brewhouse, Super Star Asian Cuisine, and The Empress Seafood Restaurant. All were on Federal Boulevard. It sounded like a dim sum paradise, so I decided to make a day of it and explore a few of these spots.

Nana’s Dim Sum & Dumplings
I started my journey at Nana’s. It had good reviews, and I was eager to see if it lived up to the hype. When I got there, the place was bustling, which is always a good sign. I ordered a variety of dishes, including some classic steamed dumplings and baked buns. The service was quick, and the food arrived piping hot. I have to say, the dumplings were pretty good! The flavors were on point, and they definitely satisfied my dim sum craving.

Star Kitchen
Next, I headed over to Star Kitchen. This place was a bit more traditional, with the dim sum carts being pushed around. I love the experience of picking out what you want as the carts go by. I tried their shrimp dumplings, pork buns, and a few other things that caught my eye. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. It felt like a real authentic dim sum experience.

Super Star Asian Cuisine
By this point, I was getting pretty full, but I couldn’t resist trying one more place. I stopped by Super Star Asian Cuisine, which also had great reviews. I ordered a smaller selection here, focusing on their egg tarts and some fried dishes. The egg tarts were amazing—flaky crust and creamy filling. The fried items were crispy and flavorful, a perfect way to end my dim sum adventure.
Overall, my dim sum journey in Denver was a success. I found some great spots with delicious food and fun atmospheres. The best I ever had! Especially the steam bbq pork buns in Star Kitchen. If you’re in Denver and looking for dim sum, I definitely recommend checking out Nana’s, Star Kitchen, and Super Star Asian Cuisine. You won’t be disappointed!
I am thinking next time I may try Formosa, Băo Brewhouse, Pho Hong, Chopstickers, and The Empress Seafood Restaurant. Well, that’s all for now. I hope you enjoyed reading about my dim sum adventure. Stay tuned for more food diaries!
