Okay, so today I tried out this place called “Dim Dim Sum”. I’ve heard some buzz about it, and you know I’m always up for trying new food spots, especially when it comes to dim sum. I mean, who doesn’t love those little bamboo steamers filled with deliciousness?

Getting There

First things first, I had to find the place. I looked it up on my phone, simple enough. It wasn’t too far, which was a bonus. Parking was a bit of a challenge, had to circle the block a couple of times, you know the drill. Finally snagged a spot a few streets over. Not ideal, but hey, it’s dim sum, I’m willing to walk a bit.

The Experience

I walked in, and it was pretty busy, but not overly packed, a good sign. The place had a nice, modern vibe, not too stuffy, which I appreciate. I was greeted by a friendly server who quickly showed me to a table.

I grabbed a menu, and my eyes immediately went wide. So many choices! I wanted to try everything, but I knew I had to pace myself. You always order too much at these places. I ended up going with some classics:

  • Har Gow (Shrimp Dumplings): A must-have, obviously.
  • Siu Mai (Pork Dumplings): Another classic.
  • Char Siu Bao (BBQ Pork Buns): Can’t go wrong with these.
  • Cheung Fun (Rice Noodle Rolls): Went with the shrimp version.
  • Gai Lan (Chinese Broccoli): Gotta get some greens in there, right?

I placed my order, and the food started arriving pretty quickly. Everything looked amazing, all neatly arranged in those cute little steamers. The Har Gow were plump and juicy, the Siu Mai were flavorful, and the Char Siu Bao were fluffy and sweet. The Cheung Fun was silky smooth, and the Gai Lan was perfectly cooked, nice and crisp.

I seriously devoured everything. It was all so good. I even considered ordering another round of Har Gow, but I managed to restrain myself. I was full. Sastified.

The Verdict

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Dim Dim Sum. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. It’s a solid spot for a dim sum fix. I’ll for sure going back for another dimsum experince. Just maybe I’ll try to go during off-peak hours to avoid the parking hassle next time.
