First, I looked up some spots online. I checked a couple of review sites and just browsed around to see what places kept popping up. I wanted a place with consistently good reviews, not just one or two glowing comments.

After some searching, I narrowed it down to a couple of options. One was a bit more traditional, the other looked like it had some interesting modern takes on dim sum. Honestly, it was a tough choice!

Making the Decision

Ultimately, I went with the more traditional place. I figured it was a safer bet for my first time trying dim sum in Anaheim. I’m a sucker for the classics, you know?

The Dim Sum Experience

When I arrived, the place was already buzzing. Lots of families, couples, and groups of friends all enjoying themselves. I was seated fairly quickly, though, which was nice. The staff were super friendly and helped me navigate the menu since I am new to this.

I ordered a bunch of stuff: har gow (shrimp dumplings), siu mai (pork and shrimp dumplings), char siu bao (barbecue pork buns), and some steamed rice rolls with shrimp. I might’ve gone a little overboard, but hey, I was hungry!

  • Har Gow: These were plump and juicy, with a delicate wrapper.
  • Siu Mai: The perfect balance of pork and shrimp, with a nice savory flavor.
  • Char Siu Bao: Fluffy buns filled with sweet and sticky barbecue pork. So good!
  • Steamed Rice Rolls: The shrimp inside was tender, and the rice rolls were silky smooth.

I ate… well, I ate a lot. Everything was delicious, and I definitely didn’t regret my * staff were super friendly and gave me some tips for ordering next time. It made for a fun experience.

Overall, I had a great time. I’m already planning my next dim sum adventure in Anaheim. Maybe I’ll try that modern place next time! Or, maybe I’ll just come back here. It was that good. If my experience went well, I will definetely share it next time!
