Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post about planning some Cinderella themed party food.

Cinderella Party Food Menu: Plan the Perfect Fairy Tale

Alright guys, so you know how I’m always trying to one-up myself with these themed parties? Well, my niece is obsessed with Cinderella right now, so guess what? Auntie’s throwing a Cinderella party! And you KNOW I can’t just slap some paper plates down – we’re talking next-level, fairy-godmother-approved eats!

First thing I did? Brainstormed. I mean, what screams “Cinderella” without being, you know, cheesy beyond belief? I grabbed a notebook (yeah, I still use those) and started jotting down ideas. Obviously, pumpkins had to feature somehow.

Next, I hit up Pinterest. Don’t judge me! It’s research! I scrolled for hours, looking for inspiration that was both cute AND doable. I ain’t got time to be carving pumpkin carriages out of melons, okay? I’m a busy woman! I found a couple of recipes that seemed promising and saved them.

Okay, so here’s what I landed on. I wanted a mix of sweet and savory, and things that even picky eaters (aka, most kids) would enjoy. So, the menu plan unfolded, starting with the appetizers:

  • Pumpkin Patch Dip: It’s basically a layered dip, right? Cream cheese, a layer of pumpkin puree with spices, topped with crumbled gingersnaps. Served with apple slices and pretzels. This was the make-ahead MVP.
  • “Glass Slipper” Fruit Skewers: Cubes of melon, grapes, and berries threaded onto skewers. I used rock candy sticks as the base, they kinda looked like glass.

For the main event, I wanted something easy to manage:

  • Mini “Carriage” Pizzas: English muffins, tomato sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Use a cookie cutter to make them round. Boom! Carriage wheels!

And of course, no party is complete without dessert. This is where things got a little extra:

  • Cinderella’s Cupcakes: Vanilla cupcakes with blue buttercream frosting. I found some edible glitter and sprinkled it on top for extra sparkle. I even bought little tiara cupcake toppers – sue me, I’m committed!
  • “Fairy Godmother’s” Wands: Pretzel sticks dipped in melted white chocolate and covered in sprinkles. Easy peasy.

Now came the shopping trip. Armed with my list and a coupon for the grocery store, I stocked up on everything I needed. I made sure to double-check the ingredient list for allergies – can’t have any surprises at the party!

The day before the party, I did as much prep as possible. Chopped the fruit, made the pumpkin puree mixture for the dip, and even baked the cupcakes. I wanted to keep it simple on the day itself, so I could actually enjoy the party!

Party day arrived and it was time to assemble everything. I set up a cute little food table with a blue tablecloth and some Cinderella decorations I picked up from the party store. Everything went smoothly; mini pizzas went into the oven, fruit skewers looked beautiful, the pumpkin dip was chilling. I even took some pics for the ‘gram before the little monsters descended!

The kids LOVED it! The cupcakes were a huge hit, and surprisingly, even the pumpkin dip was a winner. My niece was over the moon, and that’s all that really mattered. Honestly, it was a bit chaotic, but seeing her smile made all the effort worth it.

So, that’s my Cinderella party food adventure! It took planning, some creative googling, and a whole lot of sprinkles, but it was totally worth it. Now, to start planning the next party…
