Best Quick Easy Hairstyles for Medium Length Hair :Pro tips

Okay, so I’ve been getting tons of requests for easy hairstyles for medium-length hair, and believe me, I get it! My hair is, like, that awkward length right now, and some days I just want to chop it all off. But before I do anything drastic, I decided to try out a few styles I saw online and see if any were actually doable (and quick!).

The Half-Up Bun Thing

First, I tried that half-up messy bun thing that everyone seems to be rocking. You know the one?

I started by grabbing the top section of my hair, like I was going to do a half ponytail. Twisted it around a bit, not too tight, just kind of messy. Then I wrapped it into a little bun and secured it with a hair tie. I pulled out a few strands around my face to make it look a little more…effortless, I guess?

  • Grab top section of hair.
  • Twist loosely.
  • Wrap into a bun.
  • Secure with hair tie.
  • Pull out face-framing strands.

Honestly, it took me like, two minutes. And it looked pretty cute! Definitely a win for those mornings when I’m running late. It made me look stylish and I love that a lot!

Braided Crown (Attempt)

Next, I attempted a braided crown. Okay, “attempted” is the key word here. I do not have enough skill for this hairstyle.

I tried to part my hair down the middle. Started a French braid on one side, but it quickly went downhill. My arms got tired, the braid got all lumpy, and I ended up looking like I’d lost a fight with a cat. I kept messing and messing around with it.

I gave up after about 10 minutes and just pulled the whole mess into a low ponytail. So, yeah, the braided crown is going to need some serious practice before I can wear it in public. It’s not a success today, maybe I should give it another try in the future!

  • Part hair down the middle.
  • Somehow magically create two perfect french braids.

The Low, Messy Ponytail

Finally, I went with a classic: the low, messy ponytail. This is my go-to when I have absolutely zero time or energy.

I just brushed my hair back, gathered it at the nape of my neck, and tied it with a scrunchie (because scrunchies are back, people!). I pulled out a few pieces around my face and at the crown of my head to give it a little volume and that “I woke up like this” vibe (even though I definitely did not).

  • Brush hair back.
  • Gather at nape of neck.
  • Tie with scrunchie.
  • Pull out a few strands for volume.

Super easy, super fast, and it always looks decent. Can’t go wrong with this one. So my hair journey continues, and I will keep recording my daily hairstyles!
