Okay, so I’ve been trying to be a bit healthier lately, especially with my snacking. I used to just grab whatever chips or cookies were around, but I’m trying to be more mindful. So, I decided to actually plan some healthy snacks, and it’s been surprisingly easy!

My Super Simple Snack Prep
First, I brainstormed a bunch of ideas. Nothing fancy, just things I already like that wouldn’t take forever to make. I jotted everything down in my notes app – super helpful!
Then, I hit the grocery store. Here’s what I picked up:
- Fruits: Apples, bananas, grapes – things that are easy to wash and eat.
- Veggies: Baby carrots, celery sticks, and some cute little cucumbers.
- Nuts & Seeds: A big bag of mixed nuts (unsalted!), and some sunflower seeds.
- Yogurt: Plain Greek yogurt – I can add stuff to it to make it interesting.
- Hummus: Because it’s delicious and goes with everything.
The next step was the “prep” part. I washed all the fruits and veggies, and chopped up the celery and cucumbers. I portion everything out into little containers or baggies. Seriously, this took maybe 20 minutes, tops.
My Go-To Healthy Snacks
Now, when I get that afternoon snack craving, I just grab one of my pre-made snacks. Here are some of my favorites:
- Apple slices with a small handful of almonds.
- Baby carrots and hummus. It’s the perfect combination.
- Greek yogurt with some berries and a sprinkle of sunflower seeds.
- Celery sticks.
- A banana, just plan.
Honestly, it’s been a game-changer. I feel way better, and I’m not constantly reaching for junk food. It’s also super satisfying to know I’m actually prepared for my snack attacks. No more mindless munching!

I would not say that I succeeded, I may still be a bit lazy to execute it all the time, but I will keep practicing.
