Okay, so I decided to try my hand at this whole “dim sum wholesale” thing. I mean, who doesn’t love dim sum, right? And the idea of getting it at wholesale prices? Sign me up!

First, I started poking around online. I was looking for any info on dim sum products I could sell. There are so many kinds! Dumplings, buns, those little rice noodle rolls… You name it. They’re usually stuffed with seafood, meat, or veggies. But the fat in them is high!
Then I needed to figure out where to get this stuff in bulk. So back to the internet I went. I searched for “dim sum suppliers” and “dim sum manufacturers” a bunch of times. It was kind of overwhelming, honestly. A lot of companies claim they export or import dim sum.
- Some websites listed tons of dim sum food suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors. It was a lot to sort through.
- I found a few places that specifically said they had grade A frozen dim sum for export. Stuff like chicken buns and shrimp dumplings sounded promising.
Looked Around For Suppliers
Next, I started checking out these companies’ websites. Some of them looked pretty legit, with lots of pictures and info about their products. Others were kind of sketchy, with hardly any information at all. Also, I had to check some online stores selling steamers for dim sum, as I will definitely need them.
I’m still in the process of reaching out to some of these suppliers. I’m sending emails, trying to get more details about their products, pricing, and minimum order quantities. It’s a bit of a waiting game right now.
Overall, it’s been a bit of a mixed bag so far. There’s definitely potential here, but it’s going to take some work to find the right supplier and make sure everything is on the up and up. I’ll keep you guys posted on how it goes!
