Best dim sum buffet Singapore: Where to find cheap and delicious unlimited dim sum?

Okay, so I’ve been on a mission to find the best dim sum buffet in Singapore, and let me tell you, it’s been a delicious journey! I started by asking around, you know, friends, family, even that uncle at the coffee shop who always seems to know everything about food.

First Stop: Hai Tien Lo

Someone mentioned Hai Tien Lo, so I decided to check it out. The place is pretty fancy. The dim sum spread was impressive. Chef Ricky Leung is the guy in charge, and he’s got this “Yum Cha Lunch” thing going on. It’s a bit pricey though, $78++ on weekdays and a whopping $98++ on weekends. They had a good selection and it was fresh, no lie.

Next Up: Yum Cha

Then I remembered Yum Cha, and their high tea dim sum buffet. I went with my family on a weekday so it wasn’t as crowded. It’s definitely more affordable, $32.80++ for adults and $16.80++ for kids from Tuesday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. But if you wanna go for lunch it’s $36.80++ for adults and $19.80++ for kids from Monday to Friday. Saturday is also $36.80++ for adults but you need to double check their weekend timing. I’d say if you got kids, this place is a no brainer.

Old School Vibes: Beng Hiang Restaurant

After that, I hit up Beng Hiang Restaurant. This place is a classic, been around for over 40 years. It’s got that old-school, family-run vibe, which I kinda liked. Their dim sum is decent and I didn’t feel like I was breaking the bank, which was a nice change.

Hidden Gem: Johore Ye Zhi Mei Handmade Bao

One day, I was craving dim sum but Swee Choon was packed, as usual. So, I stumbled upon Johore Ye Zhi Mei Handmade Bao. This place is more of a takeaway spot, but their handmade baos are the bomb! It’s not a buffet, but it’s a great option if you want something quick and tasty.

Seafood and Dim Sum: Swatow Seafood

Finally, I tried Swatow Seafood in Toa Payoh. They have a dim sum buffet, and as the name suggests, they also have a bunch of seafood options. I’m not a huge seafood fan, but the dim sum was pretty good. But the place was really crowded so I made a reservation to avoid waiting around for ages.

So, that’s my dim sum adventure so far. I’m still on the hunt for the ultimate dim sum buffet, so if you have any recommendations, let me know! It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it, right?
