Okay, so I had this craving for some dim sum the other day. You know, those tasty little bite-sized dishes served in steamer baskets or on small plates? Ang Mo Kio Dim Sum: Your Ultimate Foodie Guide

First things first, I hopped on the bus and made my way to Ang Mo Kio. It’s a bit of a journey for me, but hey, good food is worth the travel, right? I got off at the bus stop along Ang Mo Kio Street 21. This area is like a maze of HDB blocks, but I was determined. I mean, I had my phone, so I fired up that Maps app and started navigating through the blocks.

I was walking around, looking at the block numbers – 253A, 253B, you name it. I felt like I was in one of those treasure hunt movies, except my treasure was dim sum. I passed by a bunch of local shops and some people doing their morning exercises. It was a pretty chill vibe, to be honest. Anyway, I finally found the place tucked away in one of the blocks. I can not remember which block though.

I walked in, and the aroma of steamed dumplings and other goodies hit me. Oh boy, it smelled amazing! The place was pretty busy, mostly locals grabbing a quick breakfast. I managed to snag a table and started browsing the menu. So many choices! I ended up ordering a bunch of classic dishes – har gow (shrimp dumplings), siew mai (pork and shrimp dumplings), char siew bao (barbecue pork buns), and some chee cheong fun (rice noodle rolls).

The food arrived pretty quickly, and let me tell you, it was worth the trip. The har gow was juicy and flavorful, the siew mai was perfectly seasoned, and the char siew bao was fluffy and delicious. The chee cheong fun, was soft, it was a bit plain, but the soy sauce helped. I was in dim sum heaven! I devoured everything, and I mean everything. I was so full, but it was a good kind of full. You know the feeling, right?

After paying the bill, which was surprisingly affordable, I walked out of the place with a happy belly. Mission accomplished! I successfully found and enjoyed some awesome dim sum in Ang Mo Kio. It was a little adventure, but a tasty one for sure.
