Quick and Easy Preschool Crafts: Simple Projects You Can Do in Minutes!

Today, I felt like getting crafty with my little one, so I thought, why not try some quick and easy preschool crafts? I remembered seeing some fun ideas online, and I figured we could give them a shot. It was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment thing, but hey, those are often the best, right?

Getting Started

First, I gathered some basic supplies from around the house. We’re talking construction paper, glue sticks, crayons, safety scissors – you know, the usual suspects. I also grabbed some googly eyes because, let’s be honest, everything is better with googly eyes! My kiddo was super excited to see all the colorful stuff laid out.

The Crafting Begins

  • Handprint Animals: We started with some handprint animals. I traced my preschooler’s hand on a piece of paper, and then we got creative, turned the handprint into different animals. A little cutting, a little gluing, and voila! We had a handprint turkey and a handprint fish. These were a huge hit, especially when we added those googly eyes.

  • Paper Plate Crafts: Next up, paper plates. I found a pack of them in the back of the cupboard – score! We decided to make some paper plate animals. We painted the plates in different colors, cut out some ears and snouts from construction paper, and glued them on. Before you knew it, we had a whole zoo of paper plate creatures.

  • Toilet Paper Roll Characters: We also made some fun characters using toilet paper rolls. With a bit of paint, some construction paper, and a few pipe cleaners, we created some adorable little creatures. My kiddo loved sticking on the googly eyes and giving each character its own unique personality.

The Grand Finale

By the end of our crafting session, our table was a beautiful mess of colors, paper scraps, and glue. We made so many cool things, and my little one was so proud of their creations. We even hung some of them up on the fridge! It was such a fun way to spend the afternoon, and it didn’t even take much planning or fancy materials. Just a little bit of imagination and a whole lot of fun. I’m definitely keeping these ideas in my back pocket for another rainy day!
