Okay, so I’ve been craving some good dim sum lately. I’m in Amsterdam, and I did a little digging to find a place. Turns out, there are a few spots that get mentioned a lot.
First, I checked out some online reviews. You know, just to get a feel for what people are saying. I looked at a bunch of different websites, and a couple of places kept popping up.
Planning the Visit
After reading through tons of reviews, I decided to try Sea Palace. It’s right on the water, and it looks huge in the pictures. I figured it would be a good idea to make a reservation, especially since it seems pretty popular. So, I gave them a call and booked a table for Saturday lunch.
Getting There
Saturday rolled around, and I headed out. I took the tram, which was pretty easy. The restaurant is near Central Station, so it wasn’t hard to find. When I got there, I was immediately impressed. It’s this big, floating pagoda-style building. Pretty cool!
The Dim Sum Experience
- I was seated right away, and the waiter handed me a menu.
- They had all the classics: har gow, siu mai, char siu bao.
- I ordered a bunch of different dishes to share with my friends.
- The food started arriving pretty quickly.
- Everything was delicious. The har gow was perfectly steamed, and the siu mai was juicy and flavorful.
- The char siu bao was fluffy and filled with sweet, savory pork.
- We also tried some other dishes, like the cheung fun and the lo mai gai.
- Everything was so good.
Overall Impression
I had a great time at Sea Palace. The food was fantastic, the service was good, and the atmosphere was lively. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for dim sum in Amsterdam. The price was also reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I’ll probably go back again soon to try some of their other dishes.
If you want to find dim sum in Amsterdam it’s not a bad idea. But you need to make a reservation first.
