Dim Sum Daly City: Your Ultimate Guide (From Classic Dishes to Hidden Gems)

I got a serious craving for some dim sum the other day. You know, those little tasty bites of heaven? So, I decided to hit up Daly City. It’s known for having some pretty good spots. I did a little digging around on the internet and some friends had some suggestions, and after making some choices, I headed out.

First off, I tried this place called Koi Palace. They are pretty famous. I walked in, and the place was buzzing. I got seated pretty quickly, luckily. Their menu is huge! It took a while to decide. I ended up ordering the usual suspects like har gow and siu mai, but also ventured out with some chicken feet and tripe. They came out piping hot and they were so good. I ordered a lot but finished them all. I really enjoyed the food here, and I can see why they are famous.

Good Luck Restaurant

  • Went to this other place called Good Luck, it had great reviews too.
  • It was different, more old-school, you know?
  • You had to write down what you wanted, old school style.
  • Got some pork buns and egg tarts.
  • Man, those egg tarts were the bomb!
  • Really liked the vibe of this place.

After stuffing myself at those two places, I took a little walk around. Daly City has a lot of cool little shops and bakeries. I grabbed some milk tea from a boba shop – because why not? It was a perfect way to wash down all that dim sum. And then headed home.

All in all, it was a solid dim sum adventure in Daly City. I ate way too much, but hey, no regrets! If you’re ever in the area and you’re hankering for some dim sum, you’ve got some good options. Just be prepared to eat a lot, and maybe wear some stretchy pants! This was really an amazing experience. I will definitely go back to Daly City for some more good food.
