Okay, here is my sharing about organizing things quickly and easily, based on my own experience:
I gotta say, getting organized has always been a bit of a struggle for me. My desk usually looks like a bomb went off, and finding stuff? Forget about it! But recently, I’ve been trying to get my act together, and I stumbled upon a few tricks that actually work. I really started to plan and schedule.
First, I grabbed a notebook and started writing down everything that was swirling around in my head. Tasks, appointments, random ideas – you name it, I wrote it down. This helped me clear some mental space and see everything in one place.
Then, I started grouping similar tasks together. Like, all the errands I needed to run, all the emails I needed to respond to, etc. This made things seem less overwhelming, and I could tackle one group at a time.
- Create a to-do list every day or week.
- Prioritize tasks based on importance and deadlines.
- Break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps.
- Set realistic goals and deadlines for each task.
- Use a planner or calendar to schedule appointments and tasks.
- Review and update your to-do list regularly.
Next, I tackled my physical space. I started with my desk, because that’s where I spend most of my time. I cleared everything off, tossed out the junk, and organized the remaining items into drawers and containers. I also got some colorful folders and labels to keep my papers in order. I picked up some simple stuff and did not even spend a lot of money to get those.
One thing I realized is that it’s important to have a designated spot for everything. Keys, wallet, phone – each item now has a specific place where it belongs. This saves me so much time and frustration in the morning, when I’m rushing to get out the door.

Plus, my desk looks pretty darn good, if I do say so myself! I just made a few tweaks to my normal schedule and now I can get a much healthier and happier work-life balance.
If you’re struggling with organization, I highly recommend giving these tips a try. It might seem daunting at first, but just start small and you’ll be surprised at how quickly things start to fall into place. And hey, I keep doing this simple stuff every day. Trust me, it’s worth the effort! I think it is a good idea that I always use a system.
