Need a Breakfast in a Hurry? Try This Recipe for Delicious Quick Easy Waffles

Okay, so this morning I was craving something sweet, but I didn’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. Waffles sounded perfect, but who has time for all that, right? So I thought, why not try a super simple waffle recipe? I just threw some basic stuff together and hoped for the best.

First, I grabbed a big bowl and tossed in some flour. Then I added a bit of sugar, because, you know, sweet tooth. A pinch of salt went in there too. And of course, some baking powder to make them fluffy. I just mixed it with a fork. Don’t even need to use an electric mixer. That’s good, right?

Next, in a separate bowl, I cracked an egg and whisked it up a little. Then I poured in some milk and a splash of vanilla extract. Oh, and a little melted butter, because butter makes everything better. I just used the same fork to mix them up.

Then came the fun part – combining the wet and dry ingredients. I slowly poured the wet stuff into the dry stuff, stirring gently until it was just mixed. You don’t want to overmix, or the waffles will be tough, and nobody wants tough waffles.

My waffle iron was already heating up. When it’s ready, I just scooped some batter onto the hot iron. I closed the lid and waited for a couple of minutes. You can tell they’re done when they’re golden brown and crispy.

  • Flour – The base.
  • Sugar – For sweetness.
  • Baking powder – Makes ’em fluffy.
  • Salt – Just a pinch.
  • Egg – To bind it together.
  • Milk – For moisture.
  • Vanilla extract – Extra flavor.
  • Melted butter – Because, why not?

And that’s it! I pulled them out, topped them with some syrup and fresh berries, and they were amazing! Seriously, so easy and so good. And I even put some fruit on top. Make it a little bit healthy, right? I’m definitely making these again.

What I learned

Honestly, making waffles is way easier than I thought. You really don’t need a fancy recipe or a bunch of ingredients. Just keep it simple, and you’ll be surprised at how good they turn out. Next time, I might even try adding some chocolate chips to the batter. Or maybe some nuts. The possibilities are endless!
