Okay, here’s my post about the prawn recipes:
So, I’ve been wanting to cook something quick and easy for dinner, and I had a bag of frozen prawns sitting in my freezer. I thought, “Why not try some prawn recipes?” I did a quick search online, found a few that looked promising, and decided to give them a go.
Getting Started
First, I thawed the prawns. I just ran them under some cold water for a few minutes until they weren’t frozen solid anymore. While the prawns were thawing, I chopped up some garlic and ginger. I love the combination of garlic and ginger, it always adds a nice kick to any dish.
Cooking Time
- First up, I tried a simple garlic prawn recipe. I heated up some oil in a pan, tossed in the garlic and ginger, and sautéed them until they were fragrant. Then, I added the prawns and cooked them for a few minutes on each side until they turned pink and opaque. Super easy!
- Next, I wanted to try a stir-fry. I grabbed some veggies from the fridge – broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers – and chopped them up. I heated up some more oil in the pan, stir-fried the veggies until they were tender-crisp, and then added the prawns and some soy sauce. I also threw in a dash of sesame oil for extra flavor.
The Verdict
Both dishes turned out pretty good! The garlic prawns were simple but flavorful, and the stir-fry was a great way to use up some leftover veggies. They were both cooked in under 15 minutes, which was perfect for a weeknight dinner. I served the prawns with some steamed rice, and it was a satisfying and delicious meal. This whole cooking adventure reminded me that sometimes, the simplest recipes are the best. I definitely will be making these again. I might even try adding some different sauces or spices next time, just to mix things up a bit. Cooking is all about experimenting and having fun, right?
I think the best part was how easy it all was. The only part I messed up on was that I put a little bit too much salt in the stir-fry the first time. I fixed that the next time I made it. I’m happy I made these dishes.
I hope my little cooking adventure inspires you to try these recipes too! Until next time, happy cooking!
