Alright, so you wanna know about this gluten-free thing, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t as fancy as them city folks make it sound. It just means you gotta stop eatin’ certain stuff, ya know? What to Ditch:

Now, don’t you go thinkin’ you can’t eat nothin’ no more. There’s plenty of good food left! Think about it – fruits, veggies, meat, eggs – all that good stuff is just fine.
- Fruits and Veggies: Apples, bananas, oranges, carrots, potatoes, greens – eat all you want! Nature’s candy, I say. Good for ya, and no gluten to worry about.
- Meat and Eggs: Chicken, beef, pork, fish – go for it! Eggs too, scrambled, fried, boiled, however you like ’em. Just make sure they ain’t breaded or coated in nothin’ fancy.
- Rice and some other grains: Rice is your friend now. So is quinoa and some other grains. Just make sure they say “gluten-free” on the package, just to be safe. You can’t be too careful, you know.
- Special Gluten-Free Stuff: These days, they got all sorts of gluten-free bread and pasta and stuff. Tastes a little different, but it’ll do in a pinch. Just be prepared to pay a little extra, them fancy folks always gotta charge more.
Why Bother with This Gluten-Free Nonsense?
Well, some folks gotta do it ’cause their belly gets all messed up if they eat gluten. Doctors call it celiac disease or somethin’. Poor things, they get real sick. Other folks just feel better without it, more energy, less achy joints, that sort of thing. Me? I just try to eat what’s good for me. Ain’t got time for bellyaches, ya know?
A Week of Gluten-Free Grubbin’
Look, this ain’t rocket science. Here’s what you could eat for a week, just to give ya an idea:
Monday: Scrambled eggs with some veggies for breakfast. Grilled chicken and a big salad for lunch. Roast beef with potatoes and carrots for dinner.
Tuesday: Fruit salad with yogurt for breakfast. Leftover roast beef and veggies for lunch. Baked salmon with rice and green beans for dinner.
Wednesday: Gluten-free oatmeal with berries for breakfast. Tuna salad (made with gluten-free mayo, of course) and lettuce wraps for lunch. Pork chops with sweet potatoes and broccoli for dinner.
Thursday: Smoothie with fruit and gluten-free protein powder for breakfast. Leftover pork chops and veggies for lunch. Chicken stir-fry with rice noodles for dinner.
Friday: Gluten-free pancakes with fruit and syrup for breakfast. Big salad with grilled shrimp for lunch. Gluten-free pizza (yes, they make that!) with lots of veggies and some meat for dinner.
Saturday: Bacon and eggs with a side of fruit for breakfast. Leftover pizza for lunch. Steak with baked potatoes and asparagus for dinner.
Sunday: Frittata with veggies and cheese for breakfast. Chicken salad (again, gluten-free mayo!) with gluten-free crackers for lunch. Roast chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and peas for dinner.
And that’s it, easy peasy. You can swap things around, add different veggies, whatever you like. Just keep that gluten outta your mouth, and you’ll be alright. Remember, eat good, feel good. That’s the way I see it. And don’t go spendin’ a fortune on fancy gluten-free stuff. Good, plain food is all you need.
A Little Extra Help:
If you’re just startin’ out, it might be helpful to get a meal plan. There’s plenty of them online, or maybe your doctor can give you one. Some of them are even free, which is always nice. And don’t be afraid to ask for help, plenty of folks are doin’ this gluten-free thing these days, so you ain’t alone.
One more thing: When you’re at the store, look for them words “gluten-free” on the packages. That way, you know it’s safe to eat. And don’t be fooled by them fancy labels, sometimes the simplest stuff is the best.
