Okay, so Christmas party’s coming up, right? And I’m thinking, same old dips and chips? Nah, gotta step it up a notch! So, I was browsing online, looking for some inspo, and landed on a bunch of finger food ideas. Decided to give it a shot and document the whole shebang.

First up: Mini Quiches!
- Started by prepping the crust. Now, I’m no pastry chef, so I cheated a bit and bought pre-made mini pie crusts. Don’t judge!
- Then, I whisked together some eggs, cream, cheese (cheddar and Gruyere, fancy!), chopped bacon, and some seasonings – salt, pepper, a dash of nutmeg.
- Poured that mixture into the mini crusts and popped ’em in the oven. Took about 20 minutes, kept checking to make sure the crusts were golden brown and the filling was set.
Next on the list: Caprese Skewers. Super simple, but always a crowd-pleaser.
- Grabbed some cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls (the small ones, bocconcini), and fresh basil leaves.
- Threaded them onto skewers – tomato, mozzarella, basil. Repeated until I had a whole bunch.
- Drizzled them with balsamic glaze right before serving. That glaze makes all the difference, trust me!
Alright, time for something a bit different: Spicy Sausage Rolls.
- Bought some ready-made puff pastry (again, no shame!). Let it thaw a bit.
- Meanwhile, took some Italian sausage (removed from the casings), mixed it with breadcrumbs, some chopped onion, garlic, red pepper flakes (for the spice!), and an egg to bind it all together.
- Rolled out the puff pastry, spread the sausage mixture on top, and then rolled it up like a log.
- Sliced the log into individual rolls, brushed them with egg wash, and baked them until golden brown and crispy.
Finally, something sweet to balance it all out: Chocolate-Covered Strawberries. Classic, but always a hit.
- Washed and dried some strawberries (make sure they’re completely dry, or the chocolate won’t stick!).
- Melted some dark chocolate in a double boiler (or in the microwave, in short bursts, stirring in between).
- Dipped the strawberries in the melted chocolate, let the excess drip off, and then placed them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkled them with some sea salt (optional, but highly recommended!), and let them set in the fridge.
So, there you have it! Mini quiches, Caprese skewers, spicy sausage rolls, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Four finger foods that should keep everyone happy at the Christmas party. Was it a pain in the butt? A little. But totally worth it when you see people chowing down and enjoying themselves. Plus, I got to taste-test everything along the way, bonus!

Would I make these again? Absolutely! Maybe tweak the sausage roll recipe a bit next time, add some herbs or something. But overall, a successful finger food adventure!
